INTRODUCTION

LION’S PAW is owned by a very knowledgeable owner who has moved to a larger Hinckley Yacht. She has many custom upgrades, and no details were overlooked in this build. This boat is perfect for day or extended cruising.

 

Interior: 

• The boat’s 15’5” beam provides for spacious accommodations including comfortable pilothouse with built-in C shaped settees port and starboard; lower open salon with a custom convertible dinette to starboard and galley to port, two full heads with separate enclosed showers, and luxurious Master Suite with center-line queen bunk. Sleeps up to six.
• The interior exudes Hinckley quality with her satin finished Cherry wood in the galley, heads, and master cabin and satin varnished pilothouse. Her cabin sole is exemplary with bright varnished teak and tulipwood.
• Marine Air chilled-water reverse-cycle heat/air-conditioning with Dometic chillers.
• Many custom elements on the interior not only make the boat more beautiful, but also more comfortable.

 

Exterior

• This boat features the classic Hinckley color scheme with Flag Blue Awlgrip hull, Light Cream Gelcoat deck, Cream Awlgrip Single White Boot Stripe, and Black Bottom.
• Varnished teak toe rail, eyebrow, and cockpit coaming caps and verticals along with stainless steel handrails and stainless-steel bow rail give the boat a great balance of looks and functionality.
• 12 coats Varnish done – Summer 2019
• The deep cockpit with a molded “L” settee to port and double seat to starboard features a beautiful teak sole and has a walk-through transom door to the swim platform.
• Wide side decks, properly placed handrails and bow rail, and large foredeck makes handling lines/fenders easy and safe for docking.

• Light Cream W520 gelcoat deck and house
• Single Cream boot top
• Black bottom

 

Construction:

• Hull: Hinckley DualGuard® Composite Construction- Aramid fiber/E-glass outer skin. Corecell M Foam for core. Carbon fiber/e-glass inner skin. Laminated with vinylester resin using Seaman Composite Resin Infusion Molding Process (SCRIMP®).
• Deck: E-glass outer and inner skin with aircraft grade end grain balsa and closed cell foam core. Laminated using Seaman Composite Resin Infusion Molding Process (SCRIMP®).
• Thru Hulls: Non-metallic composite thru-hull fittings with ball valve seacocks below waterline and above the waterline where appropriate. Bronze ball valve seacocks, thru-hull fittings, and sea strainers on propulsion engines.

 

Deck Features:

• Toe Rail: Rounded and tapered varnished teak toe rail with Hinckley profile
• Anchor Locker: Molded into the foredeck, gas-spring assisted hatch. Custom Hinckley designed fixed stainless steel, type 316L anchor roller. Raw water deck wash and Maxwell hydraulic windlass
• Rubrail: Stainless steel half-round on solid molding
• Chocks: Two Hinckley open bow chocks and four Hinckley closed chocks located fore & aft, type 316L stainless steel
• Mooring Cleats: Eight 316L stainless steel cleats; two 12” bow, four 10” spring and two 12” stern cleats
• Eyebrow: Varnished teak molding around cabin top
• Handrails: Varnished teak handrails mounted on forward cabin top, port & starboard. Port and starboard handrails on sides of pilothouse below pilothouse windows. One at aft end of pilothouse
• Transom Door: Fiberglass gasketed transom door located to starboard
• Hatches: Total of ten low-profile stainless-steel opening hatches with Skyscreens® privacy and insect screens = Four oversized 31” powered opening hatches on pilothouse top, Four on cabin house, Two 24” oversized hatches in master cabin
• Ports: Six custom Hinckley opening port lights with removable screens on house sides
• Fender Pad Eyes: Ten fender pad eyes, five port & five starboard, on side decks, for hanging fenders. Stainless steel half round chafe strip on teak toe rail at each pad eye location
• Mast: Hinckley aluminum mast atop pilothouse roof. Mast powder coated to match deck
• Ensign: One stern-mounted 5’ varnished teak staff with flush socket accompanied by flag of appropriate nationality
• Bow Burgee: Varnished teak staff with flush socket
• Custom LED downlighting installed in underside of bow rail

 

Swim Platform: Hinckley-designed fiberglass platform with teak treads and stainless-steel half-round.

• Swim Ladder: Telescoping three-step stainless steel ladder; stores under swim platform

 

 

COCKPIT 

• Optional Teak cockpit sole
• Varnished teak finished cockpit coaming
• Side Boarding Doors: Opening doors in cockpit coaming on port and starboard
• Boarding Steps: Molded steps below coaming doors with teak tread

 

Cockpit Seating:  Molded fiberglass ‘L’ settee to port and Double seat to stbd.

• Icemaker: At forward end of cockpit in Starboard Amenity, U-Line SP-18
• Cockpit Sink: At forward end of cockpit in Port Amenity. Stainless Steel sink with hot and cold water
• Cockpit Shower: Hot/cold mixing valve and shower wand mounted in cockpit
• Courtesy Lighting  Dimmable lighting in cockpit
• Custom Al Fresco Dining set in cockpit includes two gloss tables for port cockpit settee at dining height with SS Crown pedestals and bases. Tables include short pedestals for lowering to lounge height with cushions and covers.
• Stamoid Cockpit Cover:  Attaches to aft end of pilothouse and covers to end of cockpit. Attaches with snaps. Zippered access from transom.

 

 

PILOTHOUSE/SALON:

Enter the Pilothouse through the sliding, curved stainless steel framed, full height gray tinted glass aft Pilothouse Doors that open to seamlessly connect the cockpit and pilothouse spaces. The doors slide closed to provide protection from the elements yet still providing excellent visibility and natural light.

• Pilothouse Windows offer great 360⁰ viewing:  Three (3) fixed forward windows with laminated safety glass and fully concealed stainless-steel frames. Two (2) side windows with powered sliding side center section and fully concealed stainless-steel frames. Stamoid exterior mounted window covers
• Windshield wipers: Three heavy-duty electric self-parking wipers on the pilothouse windows, with intermittent wiper controls and freshwater windshield washers.
• Pilothouse side window blinds
• Pilothouse aft door/windows curtains
• LED Strip Tape lighting on dimmer is concealed at the port and starboard valences

• Samsung 26” LED TV with Blu-ray disk player and iPod dock 
• Custom Gun Locker at Helm/Gunvault Speed Vault model SV500 with 4-digit keypad

 

Aft Salon Area:

The Salon area has custom built-in curved U-shaped Settees port and starboard with built-in cup holders outboard.

 

• Salon Table – Starboard is a varnished cherry pilothouse table that converts from dining to berth height on an electric chrome pedestal. Includes padded table cover.
• A 26” retractable TV is built into the forward port settee just behind the passenger helm seat and will slide down out of the way when not in use.

 

Helm Area Forward:

• Helm Seating: Three Stidd® – Two to starboard – Power fore and aft, and up and down, mounted on custom cherry locker with footrests and Haier 16 bottle wine cooler below. Chrome hardware package on all helm seats. Port seat, full chrome pedestal.
• Chart Locker: Storage provided for charts forward of port side seat.
• Cup holders built in outboard port and starboard.
• Steering Wheel: Varnished wood rimmed wheel with SS hub and spokes, 14” diameter.
• Helm dash with electronics, instruments, gauges, and electrical panel below.
• Teak rimmed steering wheel
• Joystick steering outboard

ACCOMMODATIONS BELOW:

Just forward of the companionway steps down from the pilothouse is the Galley. The two upper steps are customized for storage. Aft to starboard is custom lower salon with L-Settee and table that converts to bunk. Forward to starboard is Guest/Day Head with separate shower. Opposite forward to port is Master Head and separate shower. Forward most is the Master Cabin.

• Cabin sole: Varnished teak and tulipwood.
• Cabin sole cover: Sunbrella® covers for varnished cabin soles
• Interior curtains:  Drop down accordion style in linen color; Sunbrella® marine curtain fabric.

• Interior Hardware: Except where noted, hardware is stainless steel or chrome-plated brass.
• Cabin and locker doors: Cherry panel locker doors.
• All interior drawers are on Blum Motion extension slides
• Marine Air chilled-water reverse-cycle heat/air-conditioning with Dometic chillers.

 

GALLEY:

The Galley features a large opening hatch over with SkyScreen:

• (2022) Start Batteries: Two Lifeline 4D absorbed glass mat (AGM) batteries
• Battery Switch: Heavy-duty battery switches for both port and starboard engine starting. Heavy duty manual switch to parallel port and starboard engine starting batteries as well as to parallel house and start batteries; switches remotely operated.
• Battery Charger: One 60A for starting bank.
• 12VDC Outlets: Cigarette lighter type provided at port and starboard helm area.
• 110VAC Outlets: One in the galley, one in each head, one in each berth, one in the engine room and one in the pilothouse.
• Shore Power: Two 125/250 VAC/50 AH shore power cords deployed and retracted through transom via Glendinning cord reel with wireless remote control.
• Inverter/Charger: One Mastervolt® 4000W inverter/battery charger for house batteries
• Cummins/Onan 13.5 kW Generator
• Bonding: Common wire bonding with #8 AWG conductors per ABYC E-11. Shore power inlet fitted with galvanic isolator.
• Light Dimmer: Dimmer switches provided on all overhead lighting, except shower.
• Engine Room lights: Four cage protected overhead lights.

Twin Volvo D11-715 hp 6-cylinder diesels with Volvo® IPS950 pod drives (new seals, 2022)

• Control System Volvo EVC Can bus integrated electronic control system including steer by wire, engine, and autopilot control. And dynamic positioning  
• Drive Shafts: 170-180 Series vibration dampened Eurocardan drive shafts

• Gauges: Oil pressure, water temperature, tachometer with engine hours and fuel gauges for each engine

• Air Conditioning: Chilled water system; dual chillers & circulation pumps with four air handlers with three independently controlled zones; Zone 1: One 12KBTU unit in Master Cabin and head; Zone 2: One 12KBTU unit in Guest Cabin and head; Zone 3: Two 16KBTU units in the Salon.
• Fuel Tank: upgraded to 800 US Gal capacity – Single heavy-gauge aluminum, with fills on port and starboard side decks
• Water tank:  150-gallon polyethylene
