The year that it was introduced, the Jeanneau Sun Odyssey 379 was named Domestic Boat of the Year and Best Midsize Cruiser by Cruising World Magazine. With the Sun Odyssey 379, designer Marc Lombard created a boat that “sails exceedingly well with a smart, funtional layout.” Its chined hull design, dual helms/rudders, and spacious cockpit, make the Jeanneau Sun Odyssey 379 is both comfortable and fun to sail. Highlights of the Jeanneau Sun Odyssey 379 include a retractable swim platform, main and jib sheeting near both helms for ease of trimming, comfortable main saloon with extra bunk in the settee, nice sized head with separate shower and access to a large stowage compartment aft of the head. Patience is a lovely and well maintained 2 cabin version of the Sun Odyssey 379. Her shoal draft, classic main, furling genoa, chartplotter visible from both helms, and full dodger/bimini/connector make her a pleasure on both day sails and longer cruises.

Accommodations
Forward is a nice sized cabin with V berth and port and starboard lockers. Shelving next to bulkhead provides extra stowage.
Next aft is the main saloon with a u shaped settee and dining table to starboard. These convert to a double bunk. There is a bench seat and nav station to port. Along both bulkheads and under the saloon seating is ample stowage.
The Galley, to starboard, and head, to port, are aft of the main saloon. The Galley has a full refrigerator with freezer compartment, double sink, two burner stove and oven, and more stowage for dishes, utensils, pots and pans, and food.
Aft of the Galley is a second cabin complete with queen sized bunk, bulkhead shelving, and hanging locker.
The head has a sink, shower, and manual marine toilet. A shower door separates the shower from the sink.
From the aft side of the shower, a door opens into the large “garage” space under the port cockpit. This space is large enough to hold any number of fenders, sails, grills, and assorted other equipment.
