Born to dominate regattas and impress in every sailing condition, the IY 9.98 NextGen represents the natural evolution of the Fuoriserie line. Lighter, stiffer, more powerful, more advanced — every detail has been re-engineered to deliver a pure sailing experience where speed and control merge in perfect harmony.

The result is a yacht whose construction technology increases stiffness by 35%, reduces weight by 20%, and achieves 17% higher performance compared to the standard version.

A true concentration of Italian technology and passion, designed for those who don’t settle for less but aim to lead the fleet.

While conceived as a racing yacht, the NextGen does not compromise on comfort or refined design. The interiors are built in lightweight composite, with functional yet meticulous finishes. Floorboards, doors, and hatches are made from next-generation materials. The Batyline upholstery — flame-retardant, eco-friendly, and ultra-light — combines safety with a sporty elegance. The equipment includes a regatta-style galley, bathroom with shower and WC, 220V/12V electrical systems, and an integrated audio system.

At the heart of the NextGen lies its technological soul.

The hull and deck are built in a single infusion using recyclable vinylester resin, a solution that ensures structural compactness, lightness, and a reduced environmental footprint.

The new lamination plan, developed by Kelly Design Studio, gives the structure greater stiffness and an even more responsive behavior in all conditions. The internal structures — stringers, bulkheads, and furniture — are made of composite material, increasing torsional strength and further lowering the center of gravity.

The result is a yacht with a final displacement of around 4000 kg, designed to combine agility, stability, ease of handling, and uncompromised performance. Every detail has been designed for maximum performance: the standard sail plan includes a carbon mast, with the option of a full carbon standing rigging and a 1500 mm bowsprit, allowing for an 8% upwind and 20% downwind sail area increase.

The NextGen can be configured to meet any racing requirement. Among the available options: IRC and Offshore configurations, carbon standing rigging, FBG system with fiber-optic sensors, and Genesys chip for full construction traceability.

Every detail, developed together with the racing team, can be customized to achieve the best possible setup for competition.
