Managing Partner, Bluenose Yacht Sales
I am the Managing Partner of Bluenose Yacht Sales (BYS) team. If you read the “about us” page you’ll understand that sailing, yachting and boat design is part of my family history. I truly love the industry, and decided to use my fifteen-plus years in yacht sales, marketing, and design to help people realize and fulfill their passion for sailing or power yachting.

I have been sailing and racing boats both big and small most of my life. I have won the NBYA Bay Championship in both J24’s and as helmsman on a Swan 44. I have thousands of miles of offshore and inshore cruising and racing to include 4 Bermuda Races, a couple of Marblehead to Halifax jaunts as crew boss and primary helmsman and hundreds of one design races.

I’ve been obsessed with sailboats since I sailed a sunfish on a lake at age 8. I bought my first sailboat a 16′ Daysailor at age 12, and sold it to move up to an ODay 22 at 14. I lived aboard my MacWester 27 and Dufoir 35, And now live on land, but race and cruise my Kirie 37 throughout New England.

I learned to sail on a family Sunfish as a kid and then on my Grandparents Thunderbird One Design boat. When I met my wife in my mid 20’s she encouraged me to get back into sailing and it quickly became an obsession. First at Community Boating on the Charles River, then on any boat that would have me as crew. The last 10 years have been focused on One Design, inshore racing on Farr 40’s, RP Sleds, and TP 52’s and offshore racing the TransAtlantic and other point to point races mostly on Class 40’s and an RP56.

My career in the maritime industry began as a yacht charter broker, connecting clients with bareboat and crewed yachts in Narragansett Bay and worldwide. In my role at Bluenose Yachts, I love that I can share with others my lifetime understanding of the sheer delight of sailing.

I was introduced to sailing over 25 years ago, and from the very first moment on the water, I was completely hooked. What began as an interest quickly became a lifelong passion – today, my life revolves around sailing, yacht ownership, and the thrill of competitive sailboat racing. As an avid racer with decades of hands-on experience across a wide range of performance and cruising boats, I bring a deep understanding of boat handling, design, and maintenance to every client.
